Fifteen-year-old Julianna, bored and rebellious on her
father's yacht, can see no beauty on the lonely, windswept Abrolhos Islands off the coast
of Western Australia. If only something would happen, she thinks desperately -
anything - just to break the monotony.
Then her wish is granted. It starts innocently enough - a glimpse of a face hidden among
the bushes on a neighbouring island - but when Julianna goes to investigate she encounters
a mystery that is to sweep her away from every security she has ever known and plunge her,
alone and bewildered, into a three hundred-year-old nightmare of shipwreck, mutiny and
murder.

REVIEWS
'Characters are drawn with considerable skill, and the story moves at a considerable
pace. So realistic is the imagery and the often tense atmosphere, the reader tends to
forget the this is a time-slip novel. Outstanding.'
Canberra Times
'The story is cleverly conceived and well written; the past is alive and clear, as is
the beauty of the setting.
Thoroughly recommended to all who enjoy a good story.'
Dept. of Education, W.A.
'Highly Recommended.'
